BOMBOLY HÁRSLEVELŰ

2015

The Bomboly Hárslevelű 2015 is a dry vineyard selection Furmint from Géza’s favorite vineyard in Mád, Tokaj - the Bomboly. The vineyard is mineral-rich, with abrasive rhyolite stone and clay.

The wine was fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in second-use 200 and 400 L Hungarian oak barrels. Full bunches are gently pressed before fermentation. Aged in second-use 500 L Hungarian oak barrels for 42 months, and spent an additional 2.5 years in bottle before release.

Luxurious and rich, the nose is honeyed and smoky, with while the palate has golden apples, tart apricots, peach black tea and salt. Vibrant acidity with a lengthy finish. Certified organic, no pesticides or herbicides used. Vegan. Super limited production: only 680 bottles produced.
