This rich and complex Cabernet Franc from Villány (Hungary’s southernmost region) single- handedly explains why critics have called Hungary the “new home” of Cabernet Franc. Villány's soil is mostly loess with limestone. The wine was aged in old 500 L Hungarian barrels for 12 months. Medium-bodied, with a delicious core of red currant, cherry, green peppercorn, floral and licorice notes that glide through the lengthy finish. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Low sulfites added.
