Bikavér (Bull's Blood) is the famous red blend from the volcanic hills of Eger in north Hungary. Titi's Bikavér Superior, based on Kékfrankos, is medium-bodied and dry. The wine is crisp, spicy and vibrant, with sour red cherries, cranberries and red currant flavors. Fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts in open vats. Aged for 12 months in 500 L used Hungarian oak barrels. Low sulfites added at bottling only. Unfiltered and unfined. Kékfrankos (40%), Kadarka (10%), Syrah (20%), Cabernet Franc (10%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Pinot Noir (5%).

From Wine Enthusiast: “Deep cherry red in the glass, this wine has a bouquet of cassis, dried thyme and aniseed. It is slightly spicy on the palate, with notes of clove, mint leaf and black pepper supporting blackberry, pomegranate and black olive paste flavors.
