Gál Tibor

KÉKFRANKOS LIMITED EDITION

2018

The Gál Tibor Winery is located in the Eger region of northeast Hungary. They sustainably farm 40 hectares on the Nagy-Eged hill and its surroundings, and are an important player in developing the identity of the modern Eger wine region.

Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) is a native red variety from Hungary, and the most important variety in the region. This limited edition wine from 2018 is beautifully concentrated and complex, with chewy boysenberry, sassafras, and black cherries on the nose. Sour cherries and rich cacao dominate on the palate. Long volcanic finish.

Spontaneous fermentation and aging in mostly used Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months. Unfiltered and unfined, vegan.
