Hárslevelű is one of our favorite varieties, and Lenkey shows us here how age-worthy it can be. This is a 2011 dry estate Hárslevelű from Lenkey's organic vineyards in Mád, Tokaj. The soil is mineral-rich, with volcanic basalt, limestone and iron-rich red sandstone.

The wine was spontaneously fermented with native yeast, and aged in used Hungarian oak for 24 months.

Flavors like honey, peach, petrol and orange peel dominate on the nose, with a powerful waxy minerality on the mouth. Ample texture and spice, a "real terroir wine.” Certified organic.
