Located in Hungary's smallest yet most distinctly volcanic wine region (Somló), Somlói Vándor's organic estate is 11 hectares and focuses only on native varieties.

This late-harvest white wine is a blend of two native varieties, Kabar and Kövérszőlő, that ripen early and are prone to botrytis. There is only one parcel on Somló with these varieties, and although Aszú wines were traditionally made on Somló hundreds of years ago this is an absolute rarity in region today. Flavors of tangerine marmalade and cinnamon-raisin on the nose, with apple compote, nutmeg and allspice on the palate. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and aging for 8 months in a single 500 L Hungarian oak barrel. 69 g/L sugar. Unfined, vegan.
