Pinot Noir


Péter Benedek is a third generation winemaker crafting small-batch, traditional wines in the highland wine region of Mátra in Hungary. Mátra is a continental climate region, with brown forest clay soils mixed with volcanic basalt, rhyolite and bentonite. The bright-red Pinot Noir is spicy and fruity, with flavors of ripe cranberries, red strawberries, and sour cherries. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Fermented and aged for 7 months in stainless steel (50%) and barrel (50%). Organic farming, low sulfites added.
