After 10 years making wine for the family winery, Marcell Bukolyi struck out on his own and formed his own winery in 2016. The winery is 14 hectares, and it is the only fully certified organic winery in Eger. It is located on the foot of the Nagy-Eged hill, with rich chalk soils and a volcanic subsoil.

Marcell Bukolyi's limited production Steinhauser is a rich Kékfrankos/Syrah blend from the legendary volcanic Steinhauser vineyard in Eger. Fermentation occurred in open vats without temperature control. The wine was then aged for 12 months in 500 L Hungarian oak. Deep, round and structured, the Steinhauser is loaded with cassis, crushed plums and blackberries. The ripe peppery accents of Syrah mesh beautifully with the vibrant fruitiness of Kékfrankos. Unfined and unfiltered. Kékfrankos 60%, Syrah 40%. Certified organic (2018).
